Description
Pontiac built the Firebird from 1967 through 2002 and was designed and produced as a pony car to compete with the Ford Mustang. The name “Firebird” was also previously used by GM for a series of concept vehicles in the 1950’s. The second generation of these cars were built from 1970 through 1981 and would undoubtedly go through the most troublesome time in automotive history. For 1979, the body was completely restyled featuring a new aerodynamic front end, revised rear spoiler, larger flares for the T/A. also, for 1979, there was a limited-edition Firebird to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 1969 Firebird Trans Am. This particular anniversary edition car is in wonderful condition both in and out and has received a meticulous cosmetic restoration in the last couple of years and comes with all recent receipts. This T/A starts right up, idles perfectly, has a tremendous sound and goes down the road like new with no funky rattles, no pulling, and with excellent shifting and braking. These cars are hot right now in collector car world and its fun to see a good one.
